Alice's sister, Miranda, comes to visit, Alice suffers a bit 'jealous because Miranda Staton in life. Miranda is located in New York for a rich man, and after a series of disastrous dates, decides to set her sights a bit 'lower, trying to get Duke Phillips. Alice refuses to Miranda on the ball costume that Duke is bringing to host, but agrees that Miranda does not promise to eclipse his own. Miranda is forced into hiding for a messy folds and makes itknown outside with Duke. Unfortunately Duke will continue until the completion of the evening, but Miranda away rather than stain their show to him, leading to confusion with Doris. Jay sees the suffering that this causes Miranda and invents a plan to get to the end with Miranda and Duke.
