HP Pavilion Slimline s5280t - The Good
The Pavilion Slimline s5280t is a very special computer and it was our pleasure to review it. Not only does it provide more than sufficient power, it is also very balanced. It also has a great processor. The Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 processor, running at 2.5 GHz, with a FSB of 1333 MHz is a great addition. You will find the 4 MB L2 cache very satisfying. The HP Pavilion Slimline s5280t also comes with 6 GB DDR3 SDRAM (3 DIMMs), working at 1066 MHz.

The hard disk has more than enough space, 640 GB to be more exact. It works at 7200 rotations per minute and has a data transfer speed of 3 Gb/s. As you might already guess, the primary optical drive is the LightScribe 16X max. DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti drive. The graphics are powered by an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500. The networking device is an integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet. Just like many other HP desktops, the HP Pavilion Slimline s5280t features a 6-in-1 memory card reader, 2 USB ports, and one headphone port. And, like with many of their desktops, HP will add a multimedia keyboard and an optical mouse. These were the pros, now let's see the cons.
HP Pavilion Slimline s5280t - The bad
The price is a little too high. However, just a little! There are no audio output devices like speakers, and there is no wireless support. Also, the integrated video card, although impressive, is no match to a standalone card. These are the major cons of the Slimline s5280t.
HP Pavilion Slimline s5280t - Our Rating
