Sharepoint Services - How to Edit an Announcement

This article is a simple "How To" on editing an already created announcement. As with most of the tasks in Sharepoint services, this one is unbelievably simple to accomplish once you already know how to do it. It can be a bit confusing if you are a novice though.

So, here goes nothing!

1. The first thing you will need to do is log into your SP account. You will not need to have administrative rights to complete this task.
2. After you are logged in, go to the "Announcements" tab which should be located in the center of your home page. Find the announcement you would like to edit and click on it.
3. After you have clicked on this announcement, find the tab entitled "Edit Item" which will be located in the horizontal menu bar. Select this option.
4. Once you have selected the "Edit Item" tab in the menu bar, you can now make any and all changes your little heart desires.
5. Next, when you have completed making the necessary changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "OK" tab.
6. Now, you will want to leave work, step over to the nearest happy hour and have yourself a drink because that was a tedious endeavor!

Okay, step 6 was a joke. Sharepoint services really did a bang up job in the creation of this program. Everything that I have used thus far has been just as simple as this; if not easier!
